Please look for the new moon of Iyar on  Tuesday 17/4/2018. The seeing shall be easy so please start your observation about ten minutes BEFORE sunset.  From the west coast seeing may be possible on Monday, see global viewing maps.

The new moon of Iyar 5776 (5/2016) was seen from Israel on 7-May-2016

• Roy Hoffman: I and my daughter Rina saw the Moon this evening (Shabbat 7th May 2016) from Mitspe Nevo, Ma'ale Adummim, Israel. I saw the Moon with binoculars (25 x 100 mm) at 19:15 (UTC+03). We both saw the Moon with the naked eye at 19:38 until it set over the Mountains at 19:42. The Moon was barely visible to the naked eye as a slight 
• Simcha Borer Saw from Modiin-Ilit at 19:45

Observations outside Israel

• Augustus Paul (Dominicia) - Sabbath sunset was at 18:25 and at 18:36, eleven minutes after Sabbath sunset, was when I sighted the biblical second new moon this Saturday evening 7th May 2016. It was 19:04 when I left off observing it.
• Larry Acheson from Plano Texas: Greetings from Texas!  My wife, daughter, friend Kathy and I saw the New Moon after sunset on 05/07/2016 20:29 (photo attached).
