הירח החדש של תמוז נראה בהצלחה ובקלות רבה על ידי עשרות צופים. כצפוי, הראייה הייתה קלה מאד עם זמן שהות ארוך וכך המונים ראו את הירח, אולם רובם ראו אותו לאחר או ממש בזמן השקיעה.
התצפיות המוקדמות ביותר שקבלנו היו 10-11 דקות לפני השקיעה. את כוכב הלכת נוגה היה ניתן לראות עוד קודם לכן. כרבע שעה לאחר ראיית הירח היה ניתן לראות בעין גם את כוכב חמה לידו. מצורפות כמה תמונות שלי .
כמו כן, וגם זה היה צפוי, קבלנו עדויות על ראיית הירח מארצות הברית ביום שני (15-6-2026 אור לא' תמוז) מפלאנו טקסס. תודה ללארי אצ'סון על ראייה מאתגרת.

The new moon of Tammuz was successfully and very easily sighted by dozens of observers. As expected, the sighting was very easy with a long duration of visibility, allowing large crowds to see the moon; however, most of them saw it either right at or after sunset.
The earliest observations we received were 10-11 minutes before sunset. The planet Venus could be seen even earlier. About 15 minutes after sighting the moon, the planet Mercury could also be seen with the naked eye right next to it. Attached are a few of my photos.
Additionally, as was also expected, we received reports of moon sightings from the United States on Monday (June 15, 2026, the eve of the 1st of Tammuz) from Plano, Texas. Thanks to Larry Acheson for a challenging sighting.
Today—Wednesday, the eve of the 3rd of Tammuz—the moon will be next to Venus. It is highly recommended to watch; it is a beautiful sight. For observers in the US, there will be a rare event of a daytime occultation of the planet Venus by the moon. This is a difficult observation, but astronomy clubs will be hosting organized viewing events. It is worth checking in your local area.
מזג האוויר האביך עד מאד, לא איפשר ראייה של הירח החדש של סיוון. אישית ניסיתי לראות אך לא ממש יכלתי, מאחר ובני התחתן בדיוק באותו ערב. אמנם דאגנו שהחופה תהיה טרם השקיעה, כך שיהיה זמן גם לתצפית, אולם האובך מנע כל אפשרות ראייה.
למשכימי קום, ראייה אחרונה של ירח סיוון תהיה ביום ראשון הקרוב לפנות בוקר.
נא לצפות בירח החדש של חודש תמוז. ראייה ראשונה אפשרית ביום שלישי א' תמוז (אור לב') והיא צפויה להיות קלה ולהיראות אפילו לפני השקיעה, לכן יש לנסות לצפות מוקדם ככל האפשר. ייתכן שממערב אמריקה יהיה אפשר לראות את הירח כבר ביום שני, אך מישראל אין אפשרות כזו.

כאשר אתם צופים בירח החדש, שימו לב לכוכבי הלכת נוגה צדק וכוכב חמה הנראים כולם היטב באופק המערבי. הירח החדש יהיה סמוך מאד לכוכב חמה וביום רביעי סמוך לנוגה. לצופים בארצות הברית, ביום רביעי במהלך היום, הירח יכסה את כוכב הלכת נוגה. תצפית קשה אבל יפהפייה ומומלץ להצטרף לצופים מומחים באזורכם.

Hello all.
Please look out for the new moon of the month of Tammuz. The first sighting is possible on Tuesday, the 16th of June. It is expected to be an easy sighting and may even be visible before sunset, so you should try to look for it as early as possible. It might be possible to see the moon from Western America as early as Monday, but there is no such possibility from Israel.
While observing the new moon, pay attention to the planets Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury, which are all clearly visible on the western horizon. The new moon will be very close to Mercury, and on Wednesday, it will be close to Venus. For observers in the United States, the moon will occult (cover) the planet Venus during the day on Wednesday. This is a difficult but beautiful observation, and it is recommended to join expert skywatchers in your area.
