סיכום התצפיות בירח החדש
הירח החדש לא היה קל לצפייה למרות גילו המאוחר יחסית, עקב כך שהיה נמוך בשמיים ושקע מעט זמן לאחר השמש. את התצפית ערכתי מבית הכנסת במקום טיפה גובה יותר בו בדקתי יום קודם שהירח בטווח הראייה ושאת נוגה רואים בעין בקלות. נוגה ומשקפת עזרו מאד למציאת הירח אולם בעין היה יותר קשה, וגם כרבע שעה לאחר שראינו לראשונה לא היה קל בעין.

The new moon of Tishrey was not easy but also not hard. Using binoculars and positioning in accordance to Venus it was seen easily but with the naked eye it was harder.
שנה חדשה בפתח, וכולנו תקווה שהיא תביא איתה בשורות טובות. לפני ובתקופת הימים הנוראים יש לעשות חשבון נפש ולהרבות תפילה, צדקה, תשובה ומעשים טובים, גמילות חסדים בין איש לרעהו.
את הירח החדש של חודש תשרי ושנת תשפ"ה נוכל לראות רק בערב שבת (שישי 4/10) וגם אז הראייה תהיה קשה. כמו כל ראייה בערב שבת מומלץ להקדים תפילת מנחה ולפנות את הזמן בניחותא לניסיון התצפית וכמובן לתכנן מראש מקום מתאים.
הירח יהיה מתחת לנוגה ואפשר להיעזר בו למציאת הירח. משקפת תסייע מאד (כמובן במקום שניתן לטלטל)

Hello all. The last moon of 5784 is expected tomorrow (Tuesday) and the first opportunity to see the new moon of Tishrei 5785 is on Friday. Venus will be above ans to the left of the moon and will aid to see the new moon.
A special message to our friends all over the world:
The past year has been incredibly challenging for the State of Israel and the entire Jewish nation. We were thrust into a war we did not seek, following a massive, unprecedented terror attack. Even now, as the year draws to a close, over a hundred hostages remain in the hands of Hamas, with no clarity on who among them is still alive.
In the past two weeks, Israel has begun addressing another terror threat, Hezbollah, in Lebanon. This conflict does not stem from a border dispute between Israel and Lebanon. In fact, with the Christian and Druze populations, peace could easily be achieved. However, Lebanon has fallen under the influence of Iran, one of the most oppressive regimes in the world, and has become part of the so-called 'Axis of Evil.'
It was disheartening last week to witness UN Secretary-General António Guterres greet Iran’s new president with smiles, instead of refusing to meet with someone who poses such a grave threat to global security. Today, Israel stands as one of the few free nations willing to pay the heavy price required to fight against forces of evil and protect its independence and freedom. Ukraine is another such country. Many in the Western world—including France, Spain, the UK, and even the US—have chosen to close their eyes to these threats, believing them to be irrelevant. But this is a dangerous mistake. The threats posed by countries like Russia and Iran affect the entire free world.
Your support is crucial. If you reside in the US, please contact your senators and representatives to urge them to stand with Israel, to put greater pressure on Hamas and Iran to resolve the hostage crisis.
Israel will always strive for peace with its neighbors, but we will never hesitate to defend ourselves against those who wish us harm. Rarely in history has the line between good and evil been so clearly drawn, and we want to thank you for standing on the side of good
