The new moon was seen from Israel on Tuesday 29/10/2019 by

Ariq Arar from Sweeden - At 16:53 I suddenly found the Chodesh in my (8x30) binoculars. It was  not at all visible to the unaided eye at this time. At 16:55 the haze was getting thicker, and

the Chodesh was getting more difficult to see in my binoculars. But, at 17:02 the haze became thinner again, and I was able to see the Chodesh without my binoculars. As the minutes passed it became  more and more easy to see (the sky was getting darker) and I had the pleasure to see the Chodesh until it set at the horizon at 17:25.

תחזית:

הירח החדש של חודש מרחשוון אפשרי לצפייה ביום שלישי (אור לא' מרחשוון )  29/10/2019. הראייה תהיה קלה מאד מאחר והירח כבר התרחק מהשמש. מומלץ להקדים ולצפות כחמש דקות לפני השקיעה.
צופים מיומנים בארצות הברית יוכלו להבחין בירח כבר יום קודם לכן, בתנאי ראיה טובים.

מרחשוון הוא שמו הנכון של החודש. לא מר-חשוון ולא מר חשוון וגם לא חשוון. שם החודש הוא גלגול לעברית של השם האשורי/בבלי הקדום שמשמעותו "החודש השמיני", ולמעשה זהו החודש היחידי ששמו משמר במשהו את השיטה המקראית של שמות החודשים.

כמו כן מומלץ מאד לצפות בהתקבצות הירח וכוכב הלכת צדק ביום חמישי ב' מרחשוון (אור לג') 31/10/2019

אירוע חשוב במהלך החודש הקרוב יהיה בתאריך י"ג במרחשוון יום שני 11/11 והוא מעבר כוכב חמה (מרקורי) על פני השמש. כל הפרטים בקישור הבא.

Please look for the new moon of Marcheshvan.

Marcheshvan is the proper name of the month. Not Mar-Cheshvan or Cheshvan. It resembles the ancient name of the month which means "The eighth month" and thus is the only month that his name related to the old system of calling the months by numbers

From Israel seeing will be  easy on Tuesdayy (29th Oct 2019). From the US the moon shall be visible on Tuesday under perfect sky conditions. See the global maps for more details.

Also make sure to watch the Moon and Jupiter together on Tuesday 31-October (Best for Israel, not so best for US).
